Fiesta of Lights Christmas in Alamogordo

Celebrate the season at Alamogordo’s Fiesta of Lights Christmas on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Washington Park! Watch the dazzling Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy holiday fun for all ages, including a snow slide, skating rink and kids’ crafts. Warm up with cookies, s’mores and hot cocoa, and savor tasty treats from local food trucks. Don’t miss Santa Claus spreading cheer and photo ops! This free event is a perfect way to kick off the holidays with family and friends.

City of Las Cruces Christmas Tree Lighting

Join us on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Plaza de Las Cruces for the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Enjoy live music from the Organ Mountain High School Jazz Band and, following the 7 p.m. tree lighting, a set from NMSU’s Proud Pete cover band. Mayor Eric Enriquez will give a State of the City address at 6:45 p.m., and there will be festive selfie stations, city department booths, hot cocoa, food trucks and a visit from Santa! The evening wraps up with a screening of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at Rio Grande Theatre at 8 p.m.
