Five Clever Ways to Hide Everyday Items in Your Home

Pile of Laundry in a Basket

Here are five ways to hide everyday items you’ll place in one of our Las Cruces NM homes for sale.

  1. Cables, cords and wires can be downright unsightly in your new home. But they do not have to be. There are many creative ways to enhance your décor by using your cables, cords and wires. One way is to create appealing wall art out of them. You can also build a small picket fence to put your cords behind. This is a very clever way to not only manage them but also keep your cords organized. Drapes can also serve as a drop cloth to hide your cables, cords and wires at your computer desk.
  2. Kitty litter – Kitty litters are not aesthetically pleasing. There’s no doubt about it and in all actuality, nobody really wants to see kitty litter out in the open. There’s a chance that even if it is in a room somebody can knock it over or step on in by accident. One way to conceal your kitty litter is by repurposing a wine case or an end table to create your litter box
  3. Laundry baskets – The dirty clothes hamper in your bedrooms do not have to be out for the entire world to see. A clever way to hide your laundry is by putting the bins in a dresser that has deep drawers.
  4. Light switches and thermostats – When they are isolated these can stick out more than you may like. One way to mask your light switches and thermostats is by creating a picture collage around them. You and your guests will be so mesmerized by the beautiful art that you will forget that the light switches and thermostats are even there until you need to use them
  5. Wireless routers – We are living in a digital age. There really is no feasible way to do without a wireless router. However, you can hide your wireless router by repurposing an old book or creating a stylish box to place it in.
