1. Create zones in your pantry by grouping like items together. Put boxed items with boxed items, canned goods with canned goods, glass jars together and plastic bottles together. From there you can generate groups within groups to ensure everything has its own place. This can be accomplished by stationing them by their type (canned fruits, canned soups, canned veggies, condiments, juices, pasta sauces, snacks, waters, etc.)
2. Get rid of the boxes and place cereal, flour, pasta and sugar in storage containers to provide additional storage space in your pantry. You can also label the containers so things are easily identifiable. Clear containers will allow you to keep an eye on your stock and let you know when it’s time to replenish those items.
3. With a system down pack it’s time to place items in your pantry. We suggest storing daily and frequently used food and supplies up front so they’re readily accessible. Then position items you don’t use as often on lower or higher shelves. Heavy or large items should always be stocked on bottom shelves because they’re less likely to fall. Your pantry will look very neat and organized by displaying items front and center as they do in supermarkets.
