SafeWise Ranks Roswell the 20th Safest City of New Mexico

The Safest Cities of New Mexico report was released last month by SafeWise. SafeWise, the authority on safety and home security news, ranked Roswell as the 20th safest city of New Mexico in 2018. This is welcoming news for new homes in Roswell NM homebuyers considering living in Roswell and looking for a safe and affordable place to live.

This report was based on the 2016 FBI crime date, both crime report statistics, and population data for cities, towns, and villages. According to the 2016 report, Roswell has a population of 48,556. Violent crimes per 1,000 in Roswell came in at 6.40 and property crimes per 1,000 at 43.91. The total violent crime percentage for Rowell was listed as 14.59 percent and 85.41 percent for property crime.
